Description
In 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic broke out beyond control, and the bustling city of Saigon had to brace itself against the virus. The tears of its people fell as they witnessed fathers losing their children, wives losing their husbands, children losing their parents, and siblings losing each other. The artwork includes images of a mother carrying her child as they leave the city to escape the pandemic, and an image of Mother Mary standing upright, holding a globe, with her eyes raised to the sky. They seem to be praying for the city of Saigon, for Vietnam, and for the world.
