A trip with her girlfriend. Images from the journey towards the North. The sound of silence. A short film. Film - the director’s journal during a trip from the South to the North of Vietnam with her girlfriend. Her contemplation on consciousness and possessiveness is translated onto the screen in the English and Vietnamese titles. The title Nothing is extracted from the slogan “Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom.” The act of extracting, alongside the obsession with possessiveness as well as humans’ relation with their surroundings, appeared through different cinematic techniques: shots that show only parts of the body, frames appearing inside the screen, the separation of sound from images, voices from faces, and the usage of texts over a black background without sound.
