Statement

The work offers the audience access to multiple approaches to seeing materials and phenomena with subjectivities. Through his practice of collecting objects, Phan Anh suggests a figure made out of the stones that he collected from all over the city of Gwangju; a cairn with more than 50000 hand-written Korean letters was constructed that serves as a landmark for his culture at the age of globalization.
