Statement

This photographic series was taken in the floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake, located near Long An Province-Cambodia border. Many Vietnamese immigrants are living there in makeshift tents, longing for the day they become Cambodian citizens. In this series, images of people have been blackened with ink, as a metaphor for their non-identity.
